t0p 5 WORST SONGS

I saw that Blender magazine is going to release its top 50 worst songs of all time next month....well what are yours? The song that is most common in the lists will be crowned "Worst List It Lust It Song" (which is a huge honor).

AND THIS TIME, give explanations for your picks!!!!!!!!!

1. Achy Breaky Heart, Billy Ray Cyrus...Does this really need an explantion? I still remember how all the hilljacks ate this song up while dancing and drinking Busch Light! America truly at its best!

2. Escape (The Pina Colida Song), Rupert Holmes...Ok, there always has to be that one ass clown at the bar that plays this song (or finds a way to play this song) b/c they think it will get the crowd in a "fun" mood. There is nothing "fun" about this song!!! It disgusting and a waste of 3 minutes of your life.

3. Who Let The Dogs Out, Baha Men...One more example of humanity at its very worst! Aghhhh...where to begin?

4. Abracadbra, Steve Miller Band...Isn't there a universal rule that anything NOT made by Steve Miller between 1974-78 sucks? I thought so, and this song backs up that rule. I know I've used this song in another post, but it deserves the just humiliation. "Abra Abracadabra, I want to reach out and grab you". Leave the magic to Hoodini you creepy bastard!

5. Dust In The Wind, Kansas...Yes I am from the Midwest, the Mecca of Blue Collar Classic Rock, and the odds are that I should like this song, but this song is a piss poor example of a ballad. I can just see a couple of hill knockers sitting piss wasted at a bar sadly agreeing that "All we are is Dust In the Wind". How tragic!

    I saw that article too! It's hard to narrow it down, but here's today's poll.

    1. I'd have to agree with Blender's naming of the Worst Song Ever-"We Built this City on Rock and Roll". Argh, terrible.
    2.I don't really feel one way or the other about Xtina Aguilera, but the lyrics to "Genie in a Bottle" are gross, especially when young girls sing the song.
    3. Tiffany. Any songs by Tiffany. Ugh.
    4. An image of Axl Rose with the braids at the (was it) MTV awards in the early '00s comes to mind. That performance was far than less than impressive. Some things better left alone.
    5. Samantha Fox- "I Wanna Have Some Fun". No explanation needed.

      1. Ice Ice Baby - pasty white poser trying to rap and refusing to admit he stole that lick from Queen just demands to be on that list.

      2. Disco Duck - I mean really, what the fuck was that?

      3. I'm too Sexy - Sexy? Um, no, I think word you are looking for is Lame.

      4. Who let the Dogs Out - It really does encompass all that is wrong with our society.

      5. Na na na nah, na na na nah, hey hey hey, Goodbye. - um, do I really need to explain this one?

        1. I agree about that Jefferson Starship song. Jesus christ was that crap!
        2. That Nookie song from Limp Bizkit. I can't believe people even liked that song. Anything from them! Now I just wanna kick someone's ass!
        3. Ice Ice Baby is pretty bad. Anyone who samples David Bowie & Queen & still makes it sound bad should be thrown into the pits of hell.
        4. That stupid fucking Nelly song. Is it "It's Getting Hot In Here"? No talent whatsoever involved in this song.
        5. Rob Zombie's cover to "Blitzkrieg Bop". What the hell was he thinking? What happened to him?
        I'm sure there are many other songs that I'll think of later. But these are the ones that came to mind.

    1. Anything by Celine Dion - a totally overrated and under talented act if I ever heard one.

    2. Bette Midler singing "Wind Beneath My Wings" - that just makes me wanna claw my eyes out and poke a hot stick into my ears !!

    ...will think of more later - right now I've gotta go puke for even *thinking* of those two for the few seconds it took me to write this.

    Oh randall you wound me with your number 2 & 4 picks.

    1. "After All" - Peter Cetera & Cher: He sounds like he's whining through the whoooole song. Plus we had to sing this for choir my senior year and I just want to give myself a lobotomy any time I hear it.

    2. "Only In America" - Brooks & Dunn: Just one of the many 'let's jump on the patriotic bandwagon' songs I hate. My husband must've played this song 8 trillion times in the past two years. Hate hate hatehatehate.

    3. "Candle In the Wind" - Elton John: Gag. And how good of a friend was he to Princess Di if he couldn't even write her her own personal song but recycled this one for her? Pretentious ass.

    4. "Tangerine" - Led Zeppelin: Love Led Zeppelin, hate this song. Maybe they were actually sober when they wrote this one.

    5. Pretty much anything by Jessica Simpson. Sure, she's cute and dumb which is a fun combination, but she looks like an animatronic when she sings and she sounds like she's out of breath.

      "Having my Baby" , this song makes my skin crawl , keep thinking of the movie "Alien".

      "Seasons in the sun" I don't even want to talk about it.

      "God is watching us (from a distance)" From a safe distance is more like it!

      Anything by Michel Bolton.

        4. The boys are back in town- forget who sings it. I hate it because its just annoying as hell
        3. The I love you period song- forget who sings it. Do you love me question mark? lame. who writes a song about being in love with their teacher?
        2. Sweet Cherry pie: Warrent- i hate this song because i lived down the hall from football players in college who would come home wasted every night a do drunken kareoke versions of this song. Imagine... sweet cherry pie, every night, for a year...
        1. I try: Macy grey- Her voice makes me want to puke on my shoes

        honorable mention for biz markie: just a friend. He has the worst voice ever. But i secretly love this song

          You mentioned some good- err- I mean some Terrible songs! Ack. As a kid I knew how to play Rainbow Connection on the guitar. I met Macy Gray a few years back- didn't do much for me.

    1.) "Good Day Sunshine" - the Beatles - I used to hear this gratingly upbeat nonsense a lot on my mother's alarm clock radio as a kid. It always got on my nerves big time.

    2.) "Candle in the Wind" - Elton John - A pussy song about a dead bimbo who OD'd

    3.) "Walking on Sunshine" - Katrina & the Waves - I really hate this silly, meaningless song.

    4.) "My Heart Will Go On" - Celine Dion - Disgusting

    5.) "I Will Always Love You" - Whitney Houston - The worst piece of gooey shit ever
